1 Implementation Monitoring & Management Tool The Ohio Improvement Process State Support Team Region 8 May 24, 2012

2 Objective  Learn to maneuver through the Implementation Management / Monitoring (IMM)Tool at district and building levels.  Communication Approach  Team Narrative Evaluation of Plan  Reports  Copy IMM into Next Fiscal Year

3 Getting Started OEDS – each DLT member. Including principals should be given access to their building with role of “Data Entry Planning – CCIP”. Each DLT member should have a SAFE account. https://safe.ode.state.oh.us/portal/default.asp

4 Managing the IMM Determine the point person on entering district data. Load the work of the DLT into the district and building IMMs.

5 Building Level IMM Train participants from each building Principal & BLT Member(s) Enter Building plan in IMM Remember: – Performance measure are from District, not building plan. – Set realistic timelines for measuring; plan, prepare time for professional development, and practice

6 REMEMBER ! SIMILARITIES Same District Goals Same Baseline Measures Same Reporting Periods DIFFERENCES Different Building Data Different Action Steps

7 CHALLENGES ! Careful to work in the “right” Fiscal Year Align with District Goals, Measures SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!

8 What’s Next? ANALYZE Did our measures provide the movement we expected? Are our student performance indicators truly “performance”? Are walkthrough “look fors” effecting students achievement? REVISE No? Choose better measures. No? Adapt them to insure student performance is being measured. No? What new ones will? What are you “looking for”?

9 Role of the State Support Team(SST) Gradual Release of Responsibility Provide on-going help as needed via phone calls, emails, onsite visits.
