Background 2012 UCLMS Medical Education Conference: homophobia identified as the most frequent form of prejudice among medical students 1/4 patient-facing staff have heard negative comments about LGB people; 1/5 about trans people (Unhealthy Attitudes, Stonewall, 2015) 1/4 LGB staff have experienced bullying or poor treatment from colleagues due to their sexual orientation (Unhealthy Attitudes, Stonewall, 2015)

Aims of initial session 1.Understand the impact of homophobia and heterosexism on health 2.Consider how students and doctors can promote the health and well-being of LGB patients and colleagues
