In The Garden 1.I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses; and the voice I hear, falling on my ear, the Son of God discloses. Refrain: And He walks with me, and He talks with me, and He tells me I am his own; and the joy we share as we tarry there none other has ever known. 2.He speaks, and the sound of His voice is so sweet the birds hush their singing; and the melody that He gave to me within my heart is ringing. (Refrain) 3.I'd stay in the garden with Him tho the night around me be falling; but He bids me go—thru the voice of woe, His voice to me is calling. (Refrain)In

John Brown's Body John Brown's body lies a-moldering in the grave; But his soul's marching on. (Refrain)Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! His soul's marching on. He captured Harper’s Ferry, with his nineteen men so few, And he frightened old Virginia till she trembled thru and thru; They hung him for a traitor, themselves the traitor crew, But his soul's marching on. (Refrain) John Brown died that the slave might be free; But his soul's marching on. (Refrain) John Brown

Wikipedia.org“The Battle Hymn of the Republic” “Kimball's battalion was dispatched to Murray, Kentucky early in the Civil War, and Julia Ward Howe heard this song during a public review of the troops outside Washington on Upton Hill, Virginia. Rufus R. Dawes, then in command of Company 'K' of the Sixth Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, stated in his memoirs that the man who started the singing was Sergeant John Ticknor of his company. Howe's companion at the review, the Reverend James Freeman Clarke, suggested to Howe that she write new words for the fighting men's song. Staying at the Willard Hotel in Washington on the night of November 18, 1861, Howe awoke with the words of the song in her mind and in near darkness wrote the verses to the 'Battle Hymn of the Republic.' Of the writing of the lyrics, Howe remembered: 'I went to bed that night as usual, and slept, according to my wont, quite soundly. I awoke in the gray of the morning twilight; and as I lay waiting for the dawn, the long lines of the desired poem began to twine themselves in my mind. Having thought out all the stanzas, I said to myself, 'I must get up and write these verses down, lest I fall asleep again and forget them.' So, with a sudden effort, I sprang out of bed, and found in the dimness an old stump of a pen which I remembered to have used the day before. I scrawled the verses almost without looking at the paper.' “Howe's 'The Battle Hymn of the Republic' was first published on the front page of The Atlantic Monthly of February 1862...The song was also published as a broadside in 1863 by the Supervisory Committee for Recruiting Colored Regiments in Philadelphia.”

Battle Hymn of the Republic 1.Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord, He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored; He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword—3.He has sounded forth the trumpet His truth is marching on.that shall never sound retreat; Refrain:He is sifting out the hearts of men Glory! glory, hallelujah! before His judgment seat; Glory! glory, hallelujah!O be swift, my soul, to answer Him! Glory! glory, hallelujah!be jubilant, my feet! His truth is marching on.Our God is marching on. (Refrain) 2.I have seen Him in the watchfires4.In the beauty of the lilies of a hundred circling camps,Christ was born across the sea, they have builded Him an altarwith a glory in His bosom in the evening dews and damps;that transfigures you and me; I can read His righteous sentenceas He died to make men holy, by the dim and flaring lamps—let us die to make men free, His day is marching on. (Refrain)while God is marching on. (Refrain)

They'll Know We Are Christians By Our Love We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord, And we pray that all unity may one day be restored: And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love, Yes, they'll know we are Christians by our love. We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand, And together we'll spread the news that God is in our land: (Refrain) We will work with each other, we will work side by side, And we'll guard each one's dignity and save each one's pride: (Refrain) All praise to the Father, from whom all things come, and all praise to Christ Jesus, His only Son, And all praise to the Spirit, who makes us one: (Refrain)

The Heart of Worship When the music fades, And all is stripped away; And I simply come; Longing just to bring, Something that's of worth, That will bless Your heart. I'll bring You more than a song, For a song in itself Is not what You have required. You search much deeper within, Through the ways things appear; You're looking into my heart. I'm coming back to the heart of worship, And it's all about You—All about You, Jesus. I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it, When it's all about You; It's all about You Jesus. King of endless worth; No one could express How much You deserve; Though I'm weak and poor, All I have is Yours—Every single breath. I'll bring You more than a song, For a song in itself Is not what You have required. You search much deeper within, Through the way things appear; You're looking into my heart. I'm coming back to the heart of worship, And it's all about You—All about You, Jesus. I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it, When it's all about You; It's all about You Jesus. (Repeat refrain again) Its all about you; It' all about you. (Over and over several times)

Be Thou My Vision Be thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart; Naught be all else to me, save that thou art— Thou my best thought, by day or by night, Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light. Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word; I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord; Thou my great Father, I Thy true son, Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one. Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise, Thou mine inheritance, now and always; Thou and Thou only, first in my heart, High King of heaven, my Treasure Thou art. High King of heaven, my victory won, May I reach heaven's joys, O bright heav'n's Sun! Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Love Lifted Me I was sinking deep in sin, Far from the peaceful shore, Very deeply stained within, Sinking to rise no more; But the Master of the sea Heard my despairing cry, From the waters lifted me, Now safe am I. (Refrain)Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help, Love lifted me. Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help, Love lifted me. All my heart to Him I give, Ever to Him I'll cling, In His blessed presence live, Ever His praises sing; Love so mighty and so true Merits my soul's best songs; Faithful, loving service, too, To Him belongs. (Refrain) Souls in danger, look above, Jesus completely saves; He will lift you by His love Out of the angry waves; He's the Master of the sea, Billows His will obey; He your Savior wants to be, Be saved today. (Refrain)

It Is No Secret The chimes of time rings out the news, Another day is through. Someone slipped and fell; Was that someone you. You may have longed for added strength, Your courage to renew; Do not be disheartened, For I bring hope to you. Chorus: It is no secret what God can do. What He's done for others, He'll do for you. With arms wide open, He'll pardon you. It is no secret what God can do. There is no night for in His Light You'll never walk alone; Always feel at home, Wherever you may roam. No evil power can conquer you, While God is on your side. Just take Him at His promise, Don't run away and hide. (Chorus)

You Raise Me Up When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary; When troubles come and my heart burdened be. Then I am still and wait here in the silence, Until you come and sit awhile with me. Chorus:You raise me up so I can stand on mountains. You raise me up to walk on stormy seas. I am strong when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up to more than I can be. There is no life - no life without it's hunger. Each restless heart beats so imperfectly. But when you come I am filled with wonder; Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity. Chorus (twice) You raise me up to more than I can be

I Could Sing of Your Love Forever Over the mountains and the sea; Your river runs with love for me. And I will open up my heart, And let the healer set me free. I'm happy to be in the truth, And I will daily lift my hands. For I will always sing Of when your love came down. I could sing of your love forever (4 times) Over the mountains and the sea; Your river runs with love for me. And I will open up my heart, And let the healer set me free. I'm happy to be in the truth, And I will daily lift my hands. For I will always sing Of when your love came down. I could sing of your love forever (8 times) Oh, I feel like dancing; It's foolishness I know. But when the world has seen the light, They will dance with joy Like we're dancing now... I could sing of your love forever (8 times) Over the mountains and the sea; Your river runs with love for me. And I will open up my heart, And let the healer set me free. I'm happy to be in the truth, And I will daily lift my hands. For I will always sing Of when your love came down.
