1 Awards Teaching Odd Stuff Work History Home site map Education Volunteer Work Here’s a Snap Shot Developed products in marketing courses for consumers and business markets. Designed brochures, print ads, and magazine content using Adobe Indesign. Established a web blog and a website on childhood obesity. Created a podcast on a program for childhood obesity. My photograph was published in the Spartan Daily Newspaper. I wrote an article that was published in San Jose States Tagline Magazine on social media. Bank Teller Bank of the West – San Jose, CA / June ’08 to Present Responsibilities included: I work on Customer Service and meeting the needs of our clients through cross-sell. There are set referrals I accomplish every three months. I take customer deposits and withdrawals. The manager and I work on ATM deposits and night drops. I process claims for clients who have issues with fraud or misdispense cash. I assist merchant business owners. In two occasions I was recognized for catching fraudulent checks. Sales Representative Sprint – San Jose, CA / May 07 to June ‘08 Responsibilities included: I would work with clients to activate new phones or do an upgrade to an existing line. With new accounts I would offer all the features of the phone in their plan. I would offer products to cross-sell such as a case, blue tooth, or car charger. To increase a sell we would suggest online services or music downloads. I would attend meetings to understand the features and functions of each new phone. Sales Associate Metropcs  San Jose CA / December ‘05 to May ’07 Responsibilities included: I would focus on customer service. While selling a phone we would cross-sell features and electronic devices. I would work with the store manager on inventory shipments and set-up the sales floor plan every three weeks. After one year I became an assistant sales lead. I was nominated employee of the month for march 2006. I won a Motorola contest and made it to the top three in the east bay elite. Work History

Recreational Assistant Boys and Girls club – Silicon Valley, CA June ’05 Responsibilities included: I would do arts and crafts with children. They had an exercise session in which I assisted with the equipment. I helped set-up with their family event in which I created posters and designs on their billboard. If children needed help on their homework I would tutor them. Teacher Assistant Head Start Preschool program – Sunnyvale, CA June 07 Responsibilities included: I would help set-up the food for children. If children needed assistance with brushing their teeth I would help them brush. I would do running or water activities with the children. During nap time I would help set-up the mats and blankets. I assisted teachers with paperwork or arts and crafts material. Aztec Dancing Group Member The name of the group is called Movimiento Cultural Anahuac – San Jose, CA January 09 to Present Responsibilities included: I am in an Aztec dancing group that was started by my mother and a dancing instructor. I set-up volunteer work for the group with-in the San Jose and Modesto area. It is a traditional dance that is part of my families culture. We teach others to dance and hope to gain more volunteers to expand our group. Volunteer Work

6 Teaching Odd Stuff Work History Home site map Education Volunteer Work Project Description “Magic Makers Documentary” February 2010 to May 2010 San Jose, CA Description: The Magic Makers is a special needs group who perform in a band. The group is made up of 22 people who play musical instruments and sing in the choir. These individuals have a gift. They are able to interpret a song when they listen to the rhythm of the music. There have 3 instructors. Mr. David Anderson leads the entire group. Tom Harris leads the Choir. Mike leads the Guitarists and the drummers. Each person has their own special talent and they use it to play music with great passion. The lead piano player is named Tony Salazar. He is visually impaired and can play the accordion as well. He can sing in both Spanish and English. His dream is to become a professional music player. Community Project
