Kendal Energy Policy Plan Community strives to: Carbon footprint reduction Promote the use of renewable resources Pursue other measures that can enhance the physical environment Continuously evaluate the current status of the facility and energy use Continue to engage and educate Residents, The Board and Staff on ways to reduce energy

Classic Cottages Energy Audit & Pilot Program Energy Audit – 1997 Engaged eQuest to conduct High Performance Building Analysis 4 Clusters Evaluated (4 units per cluster) Option #1 - Base Case Option #2 - Insulation, caulking, and sealing Option #3 - Air to Air heat pump system Option #4 – Ground Source Geothermal Heat Pump Hi Rey, Just had a chance to review your ppt. The 1997 Energy Audit and Actions are different than the Pilot with 4 cottage Clusters (more like 2006) 1997 Energy Audit and Actions resulted in not only the Audit but also a major $$$ investment to facilitate the Entel System installation (heating/cooling living patterns of residents were reflected in system automatically adjusting); all new water saving shower heads, lighting upgrades throughout all our buildings, and a phased plan of other energy projects. So a few more edits are needed to capture this early pioneering work in the Kendal System. Actually we followed Hanover’s success with NEC.
