Our Beginning Founded in 1992, with an initial meeting of: –35 Designated actuaries, 14 Actuarial students, 12 College students, 3 College professors, 2 Consultants –From the U.S., Caribbean & Canada International Association of Black Actuarieswww.blackactuaries.org

Organizational Structure IABA is a volunteer-run, tax-exempt, 501(c)3, nonprofit organization that represents black actuarial professionals and students around the world. Membership is open to all who support our mission. The organization consists of a Board of Directors, over a dozen committees and a group of City Affiliate teams. All of the leaders and volunteers within IABA work together to accomplish our mission through the support of strategic plan initiatives and IABA programming. IABA Career Portal Dozens of actuarial employers use the IABA job board on a regular basis to post jobs and search career profiles. Our job board a strong channel for the best jobs/internships and a great way to get your resume in front of your next employer. There is no cost to participate. Scholarships IABA has awarded close to $500,000 in scholarships since 1992. In 2015, IABA awarded $76,000 in scholarships to 23 graduating high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students.
