Welcome to my power point on guitar mechanics!!! First of all lets talk about the parts of the guitar All the parts are the bridge, the neck, the head, the body, the strings, the tuning pegs and exclusive to electric guitars you have pickups witch pick up sound and amplifies it PARTS OF THE GUITAR
3
The bridge is the anchor for the strings located at the bottom of the body. Its used to hold the stings in place above the pickups (for electric) or the hole that boosts sound (for acoustic). also is the spot you rest you're hand on when playing lead guitar. THE BRIDGE
4
THE NECK/FRET BOARD The neck (fret board) is the part of the guitar in witch you apply pressure on any fret to make sound For example if my play the A sting and go up on the fret board by one you’ll get a A sharp then if you keep going up you’ll get a B then C then C sharp. If you’re wondering why there is no B sharp (witch isn't a typo for once) its because there is no B or E sharps on the fret board.
5
TUNING PEGS/STRINGS Used to tune the guitar, the tuning pegs also hold the strings in place at the top of the guitar. But if not kept if good condition the neck can bend over time and snap. The stings are each tuned to EADGBE in standard tuning but can have varies different tunings
6
PICKUPS Used on electric guitars, the pickups use the vibrations from the strings of the guitar and send them to a amplifier. The amp can also change the sound of the guitar by adjusting the treble/gain/bass/volume/reverb.
7
The size and shape of the body can greatly affect the sound and quality of the guitar This applies more to acoustic then electric guitar because electric relies more on the pickup then the body BODY
