Steve Jobs was born to two unmarried university students whose parents objected their relationship He was forcefully put up for adoption and later, adopted by Paul Reinhold Jobs (1922-1993) and Clara Jobs (1924-1986) The Jobs family moved from San Francisco to Mountain View, California when Steve was only five years old Steve went to Monta Loma Elementary School and was recommended to skip 2 grades by school officials, but his parents only allowed him to skip one After Elementary School, Jobs was enrolled at Cupertino Junior High and Homestead High School in Cupertino, California After Steve graduated from High School, he went to Reed College in Portland Oregon Since the College was so expensive for his parents, he dropped out Early Life

In 1974, Jobs took a job as a technician for Atari Inc. in Los Gatos, California Jobs visited India in mid-1974 to practice Mysticism After staying in India for seven months, he left On return to America, Jobs continued to work for Atari Inc. to work on a new circuit board for the arcade game Breakout Jobs had no knowledge about circuit boards, so he called up his friend Steve Wozniak from High School to help him for some of the profit In 1976, Jobs and Wozniak formed their own business, “Apple Computer Company” Apple started off selling circuit boards Early Career

After leaving Apple, Jobs founded NeXT Computer Company with $7 million A year later, Jobs almost went bankrupt, but billionaire Ross Perot invested in his company NeXT workstations were first released in 1990 selling for $9,999 In 1996, Apple announced that they would buy NeXT for $427 million Jobs came back to Apple as de facto chief NeXT
