* Take out a piece of paper and cut in half. You’ll need something to write with. * You will be using both halves of your paper.

* You are going to be gathering appropriate information about your classmates. Please write down 3 questions you want to ask them. * The questions must ask about information that is appropriate for a school conversation and does not make your peers uncomfortable.

* Find someone in the room you do not know and sit with them. Introduce yourselves to each other. On one of your half sheets: * Write down their name. * Ask them your 3 questions and write down their responses. * Make sure to leave space on your half sheet. * Respond to their 3 questions. * When prompted, do this once more with another student you don’t know.

* Go back to your seat.

* Based on the information you’ve gathered from your conversations and your own observations: How would each student you interviewed respond to the following questions? Write this down on the other half sheet. * What is your favorite type of food? * What kind of movies do you like to watch? * What store would you shop at to buy clothes? * Do you speak another language? If yes which language? * Do you play a sport? If yes which one? * Do you play an instrument? If yes which one? * Do you have any brothers or sisters? If yes where are you in the birth order? * Answer these questions for yourself.
