Effects of Altering Current and Voltage Greater current: 1. More X–rays produced each second 2. More intense X-ray beam Increase the accelerating voltage which is supplied to the anode: 1. Electrons have more kinetic energy 2. This produces more energetic X-rays that have a shorter wavelength 3. These are more penetrating
