8. Always There For You ® Vehicle Marketing FAQ What is an ERA® vehicle wrap made of?  A vehicle wrap is printed vinyl on an adhesive backing. It is a "skin tight" fit and the appearance on the vehicle is often confused with a painted surface. Examples of "wraps" you might already be familiar with include bus wraps and truck wraps.  Complete window surface coverings are generally made from perforated vinyl so you can see out. Do I have to wrap my entire vehicle?  Lowen Sign Company specializes in full and partial wraps. An example of a partial wrap is shown above, e.g. hood, side and rear of vehicle.  Partial wraps are less expensive since they take fewer square inches of coverage than a full wrap. The key to a partial wrap is the design, especially since it needs to stand out from the color of your vehicle and because the wrap is smaller and partially visible compared to a full wrap. What is the turn around time?  Anticipate two to three weeks manufacturing time. It takes an additional week to prepare and finalize artwork and another week to ship the product. From beginning to end, about a month.  On top of that you'll need to schedule your installation. The actual installation should not take more than one day unless you have more than one vehicle to wrap. Can the wrap be damaged? How do I care for the vehicle wrap?  Lowen Sign Company recommends that you avoid car washes that use brushes to clean your vehicle. Hand washing is the best alternative or brushless car washes.  If rear-window perforated vinyl graphics (window film) goes on your vehicle, ask your Lowen Sign Company representative to provide a quotation with a clear laminate applied to the window film.
