5. Experiment #1 Mrs. Turgeon thinks that a special juice will increase the productivity of her students. She creates two groups of 50 students each and assigns each group the same task (in this case, they're supposed to staple a set of papers). Group A is given the special juice to drink while they work. Group B is not given the special juice. After an hour, Mrs. Turgeon counts how many stacks of papers each group has made. 7. Experiment #3 A Chicago Bears player wants his team to start winning. He heard that people who are exposed to radio waves will become extra strong (and get more tackles.) He decides to perform this experiment on mice first by placing 10 mice near a radio for 5 hours. He compared these 10 mice to another 10 mice that had not been exposed. His test consisted of a heavy block of wood that blocked the mouse food. he found that 8 out of 10 of the radio waved mice were able to push the block away. 7 out of 10 of the other mice were able to do the same. 10. Experiment #4 The band One Direction was told that a certain hair product was the newest best thing on the market, it even claims to cause 50% longer lasting wavy hair. Interested in this product, they buy the hair product and compare it to their usual hair product. One test subject (A) used the original hair product and another test subject (B) used the new Experimental hair product. Subject A reported having wavy hair for 30 minutes. 11. Experiment #5 The TV producers of “American Ninja Warriors” want to know if a new vitamin on the market will help their athletes perform better. They have a usual vitamin that their athletes take that seems to work okay. Design an experiment to help them decide if they should invest in the new, more expensive vitamin.
