המעבדה למערכות ספרתיות מהירות High speed digital systems laboratory SLIC S ubscriber Line Interface Circuit Detects the line state (On hook, etc.), sets line state (line tone, etc.) Decodes/creates DTMF signals (dial tones) Converts analog signal to PCM (Pulse Code Modulation), and converts PCM to analog signal Communicates with DSP on serial multichannel 2.048MHz link
