5. Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed (Matthew 13:3)

6. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. (Matthew 13:4)

7. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. (Matthew 13:5)

8. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. (Matthew 13:6)

9. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. (Matthew 13:7)

10. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown (Matthew 13:8)

11. Choking in good soil

12. Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field (Matthew 13:24)

13. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. (Matthew 13:25)

14. Good foundations… but…

15. Pullin’ weeds

16. Looking at his disciples, he said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. -- (Luke 6:20)

17. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few -- (Matthew 9:37)

18. What can you do???? The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. I Corinthians 3:8
