Motion by DLP Subcommittee Move to (1) add a new paragraph in the end of Subsection III/1; (2) add CV to DL nomination package in Subsection III/2; and (3) add new calendar in Section IV Section III. Distinguished Lecturer Selection, Appointment, and Retirement 1. DL Selection Criteria..... D. Balanced Representation “The committee shall evaluate the relevant values and merits of each nominee using both qualitative and quantitative evidence. The quantitative measures indicated in section III.1 are part of the input to be considered by the committee. Other criteria include, but are not limited to, qualitative assessments of the nominees work, geographical lecturer distribution requirements, or the need to include lecture topics that would not be, otherwise, well represented. The committee may consider exceptions to these criteria on a case by case basis.” Note: This is to highlight that despite of the quantitative measures specified in the Charter, a complete in deep evaluation from various perspective considerations should be performed. 2. Distinguished Lecturer Nomination The nomination package should include the following: (i).. (ii)… (iii) complete CV containing publications, invited talks, keynotes, and plenary talks;(iv) google scholar profile. Note: In order to simplify the nomination process only the Google Scholar profile is requested, but as stated above in Subsection III/1 the committee will assess each nominee using diverse qualitative and quantitative evidences. IV. DLP Time Table July 1 Nomination period begins August 30 Submission deadline of DLP nominations
