The Director of the OSDBU is the primary advocate within each Federal Executive Agency responsible for promoting the maximum practicable use of all designated small business categories within the Federal Acquisition process

What do OSDBU’s DO 35 large agencies have OSDBU’s They are your small business Advocate They make sure that small business are looked at for most opportunities The goal of the OSBDU and each of these offices is to advocate for and manage the small business utilization programs for their organization.

What are OSDBU’s not They are not Contracting Officers They are not Program Managers They do not produce solicitations or assist you in negotiating of contracts

What do OSDBU’s want from you Registration perfect this means ORCA, Dynamic Small Business CCR and a Perfect one page front and back Capabilities Statement Business Cards and proper NAICS Codes

What does a OSDBU want to hear from you. That you are ready to do Business in the Federal Government I have questions about the following Opportunities We are prepared to bid on Opportunities We are prepared to go over our Capabilities in detail and this is what we do

What can the OSDBU do for you If you have everything in order and perfect they can help you. They can set up meetings with Program Managers and small Business Advocates Have 2 to 3 opportunities that are currently open and discuss them with the OSDBU

How to act in Front of the OSDBU Dress Professional Get to the point and let the OSDBU speak Ask the OSDBU what you can do to help them Be very positive
