Internet Definition Sonnet is one of the poetic forms that can be found in lyric poetry from Europe. Sonnet has 14 lines, each line contains ten syllables.

My Definition Type of a poem with 14 lines One lines has 10 syllables Famous Sonnet writer is William Shakespeare. Wrote about 154 sonnet poems.

Internet Example Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May. And summer’s lease hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm’d; And every fair from fair sometimes declines.

My example Cold night, Warm night It is night time and it is getting cold. I have my family with me to lift The cold fast river starts to quickly drift But I’m warm because my family is here
