4. Sentence Fluency When I comment on your papers and say “sentence fluency”, that usually means that your sentence is confusing or disjointed. There is an issue with the flow of the sentence. Example: The boat looked like an older version of motor boat; it was a dull grey and had no toilet. – Missing “a”, which affects the sentence fluency. Example: I had won my first ever fight, and what a way to win. This should read: I had won the first fight I had ever fought, and what a way to win.

5. Please stop yelling at me! When you use an exclamation mark at the end of the sentence, this denotes yelling. Example: The floor was wet and slippery and we were soaked from our heads to our toes! Why is there yelling about the floor being slippery? Example:
