H E - COOLED W P LATE -T YPE D IVERTOR C ONCEPT Plate size: 20 cm (tor.)x 100 cm(pol.) Impinging-jet cooling Allowable heat flux ~9 MW/m 2 ~750 plate units for a power plant like the ARIES-AT(~0.55 million finger unit) Design features: (the poloidal length is not scaled) ODS-steel cartridge W front plate W side plates 700 ͦ C 10 MPa He 800 ͦ C He rad. tor. pol. rad. F ABRICATION Brazing the front, side and back plates together to form 9 identical channels Brazing the transition joints and sliding the cartridges into the channels Exploded view of the plate-type divertor ½ of the plate 50 cm 20 cm

P RINTED M ODULES Only one cartridge has been printed this time, and need 8 cartridges more.
