Economic Development and Innovation Department Transitionally established in October 2012 with full time presence in October 2013 2014 General Government budget - $195,000 Ombudsman role Foster Innovation Economy externally/internally Work on Economic Development projects throughout the city, not just in the core Collaborate with partners on various ED efforts: Private industry, UF, Santa Fe CIED, Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce, Airport Authority, Alachua County, Gainesville Regional Utilities
