New Document Type Example A generic type, which is mapped to “Recipe,” was added to be displayed on home page

New Document Type - Map Enter Title, URL, and Summary to be displayed in the marker popup (info box). See next slide for example. Check “Add to Index Map” to include this map to the index map when user clicks on the “Map” menu on home page. Check “Activate Selection” to place or move the marker, and uncheck it allows you to center and size the map.

Services Display Mode Services type pages can be displayed on home page as expanded menus as opposed to the old “top link” style You can alternatively include News (Activity Reports) Listing when displaying each service index page

Services – Top Link This is the old “Top Link” style that will display each Services type on the top of the index page instead of the expanded menu There’s only one single “Services” item on the menu

Sub-Menu Page Sub-Menu pages are those pages that will be displayed as a shortcut link. They can be created for the following types, –Home –Service –About, How to Help Use Alias name begins with submenu for sub-menu pages (e.g. submenuEducationSchool)

Home Sub-Menu You can now create “Home Page” type of pages and include them as links displayed on the sub-menu of home page.

Services Sub-Menu Service pages that do not have an alias starts with “index” will appear on the home page sub-menu.

Home Page Menu Order You can now decide if a document type should be displayed on the home page menu. A dash means that the type won’t be displayed on the home page. You can also change the order of the menus displayed

New Categories We have added three generic categories to accommodate the needs of Global Web. The categories are shared and used in various document page types. For example, both Services and Activity Reports will use these categories.

Home Page Section Management The page is now organized by columns (Right, Center, and Left) for clearness Two new section, Daily Photo (right column) and Help Now (left column) are added. Daily Photo is mapped to “Recipe,” and it’s similar to “Still Thoughts” with addition to specify the page photo location with an existing Page ID. Page links can be added to four sections, Headlines, Announcements, Local News, Help Now (this is new).

Thumbnails The Thumbnail field is new for displaying a small image along with the document title/summary on home page sections. See the next page for the following Thumbnail example, –Bullet point of services/home sub pages –Bullet point of Help Now pages –Thumbnails of News Listing –Image of “Recipe” section when a Page ID is specified in the section New Help Now section

Region Support Check the option to enable Region option for “Service” and “Activity Report” pages Region support is commonly used for separating small regional offices/sites contents from the main site. Those offices don’t usually have enough contents to warrant a whole site.

New WYSWYG Editor You can now resize the editor size to your like by drag the bottom-right corner. The new editor also has better Firefox support
