Feeding Food should be in the bowl throughout the day for nibbling. For overweight cats, reduce portion size and check with Vet if special diet is needed. Do not feed table scraps. Make sure plenty of water is available.

Training/Exercise Start as soon as possible. Play and exercise them like dogs. Use treats for rewarding good behavior. Be patient.

Communication Meowing is served as way of communicating by the cat. Hissing is served to show anger or annoyance. Purring is served as way to show both contentment and discontentment.

Bathing/Dental Health Start as early as possible Use gauze square or small toothbrush along with cat toothpaste. Use only cat shampoo when bathing. Recommend using small window screen and showerhead with hose to clean the cat.

Veterinary Visit Yearly veterinary visit recommended. Kittens and older cats require more frequent visits. Contact the vet if a cat’s body weight, appetite, or temperament changes noticeably.
