POLAR ZONE Located between 60 degrees and the poles (north and south) Coldest average temperature of all climate zones Winter average temperature: -17 degrees F Summer average temperature: 41 degrees F

TEMPERATE ZONE Located between 23.5 degrees and 60 degrees North and South Mild seasonal changes Winter average Temperature: 32 degrees F Summer average Temperature: 82 degrees F

TROPICAL ZONE Located between the equator and 23.5 degrees North and South Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn Receives the most direct sunlight Winter average temperature: 77 degrees F Summer average temperature: 82 degrees F
