Four modules Module 1: Communicating across cultures: doing business in Switzerland Module 2: Emerging global powers & internationalization Module 3: Managing across cultures: doing business in China Module 4: MNCs and innovation in China

Program team-teaching: Swiss and Chinese instructors, interactive, case based courses, seminars, workshops, external visits, students will work in mixed teams on a group project and various program related assignments, in the result, SU participants will develop a global mindset allowing them to embrace “best-of- both” Swiss and Chinese cultures (c.f. Chen and Miller, 2010, 2011).

General information 4 weeks, 5 ECTS; Program: 14 th – 25 th July 2014; 28 th July - 8 th August (2 weeks in China, University of Shanghai and 2 weeks in Switzerland, UAS, School of Business and Engineering, Canton of Vaud) 6-8 Swiss and 6-8 Chinese bachelor level students Participation certificate will be issued at the end of the course

Value added for the students Contrast Swiss and Chinese management practices, and learn to bridge cultural differences in business. Acquire necessary skills to leadership in EM- companies in Europe or Swiss MNCs in emerging economies. Initiate building of a network in China. Develop a global mindset.
