6 What I learned Being the course librarian means you need to be aware of when they are working (might need to check in on the weekends- or right before a due date) Small things help- pictures and personalizing the content We may begin offering different ‘levels’ of involvement. 6

7 Assessments Some instructors have chosen how to ‘incentivize’ the library lessons Graded Library Lessons 10 question quiz to follow up viewing of the library lesson. librarian created the questions for the quiz and the quiz was a graded assignment. Using Bb features using the “mark reviewed” feature of Bb Utilize the statistics tracking features in Bb 7

9 What I learned Every course with a Blackboard component can use a librarian. Libguides! Build relationships. Connect with instructors and students throughout the course. Schedule emails. You can have too many words. Everybody waits until the last minute!

10 Assessments Tracking emails and appointments with online students. Communicating with instructors. Feedback from students. Statistics available through Libguides as well as Blackboard. Surveys.
