Trouble had been brewing in Europe for many years. Alliances, which were a sort of gang, had been formed for defence. The main two ‘gangs’ or alliances which would appear in WW1 were: The Triple Alliance and The Triple Entente WW1 was a sort of gang warfare.

What’s an Alliance??? ALLIANCE:an agreement made by two or more countries to help each other out in times of conflict (a defence agreement)

What’s an Entente?? ENTENTE:a friendly agreement offering protection if one of the member countries was attacked.
