Eligibility and Funding Process OPSC Funding Process – Request for Funding Funding Request Submitted to OPSC Once DSA Eligibility Process is Complete and Project Plans Receive California Department of Education Approval Secures Your Place in Line for Funding – Funding Determination Funding for Buildings that Qualify for Rehabilitation Equals 50% of OPSC Approved Rehabilitation Cost Funding for Buildings that Qualify for Replacement Equals $292 per Square Foot of Toilet Area and $162 per Square Foot of Non-Toilet Area of OPSC-Determined Eligible Replacement Square Footage

Status of State Seismic Funds $199.5 MillionTotal Set Aside from Proposition 1D $50.5 MillionAmount Apportioned $7.0 MillionAmount on Unfunded List $142.0 MillionAmount of Remaining Authority $6.6 MillionAmount on Workload List $138.3 MillionNet Available Funding as of November 25, 2014 (last State Allocation Board Meeting) Additionally, there have been six projects approved by SAB as Conceptual Approvals. If converted to Full Funding Requests, these projects could result in an additional $46.3 M drawdown from the available funding. Note: Of the $50.5M apportioned $13.9M was for Korematsu MS, which is more than any other district in the State has received for seismic funding.
