1 3  I understand some of the tactics in Netball such as centre passes.  I am starting to understand basic techniques for attacking and defending.Using the correct skills in certain situations. E.g How to dodge  I am able to apply rules and tactics to game play, such as having some idea of the positions on court.  I can perform basic passing and receiving skills.  I am aware of some strengths and weaknesses in mine and others performance.  I can warm-up/cool down safely using some suitable activities. 3c = 2 of the criteria met! from 2 colours 3b = 4 of the criteria met! from 3 colours 3a = All 6 of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 4! National Curriculum Attainment Level Netball

2 4  I can perform skills such as different passes in practice and small games.  I can perform basic skills such as dodging, marking and footwork when not under pressure.  I can apply some skills into a game situation using basic techniques.  I can understand and play some different positions.  I can use some of the correct technical terms to improve performance.  I understand how and why to use safe warm-up/cool down activities. 4c = 2 of the criteria met- from 2 colours 4b = 4 of the criteria met - from 3 colours 4a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 5! National Curriculum Attainment Level

3 5 Netball  I can demonstrate different dodges and defending skills showing accuracy and control.  I can apply various skills to a game situation to develop my own /or my teams performance.  In attack I can apply the appropriate skill to beat the opposition.  I am able to organise and umpire small sided games with some assistance.  I am able to pass and receive the ball in space showing some accuracy and control.  I know all the positions and where they can go  I can give feedback to improve performance through self and peer assessment.  I understand the need for suitable warm-up / cool down and can lead a session. 5c = 2 of the criteria met- from 2 colours! 5b = 4 of the criteria met- from 3 colours 5a = All 6 of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 6! National Curriculum Attainment Level

4 6 Netball  I can use specific techniques consistently and effectively in games situations such as footwork, getting free and defending.  I can select some tactics and apply to the game situation. E.g. Using various set centre passes.  I can umpire using the basic rules of the game eg footwork, contact, obstruction  I can do simple skills at the same time. E.g. dodge, catch and land correctly.  I can use more complex feedback to improve my own performance and that of my peers.  I can organise a basic warm up using the three stages of a warm up  I understand how netball can benefit a persons health and fitness 6c = 2 of the criteria met – from 2 colours! 6b = 4 of the criteria met- from 3 colours! 6a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 7! National Curriculum Attainment Level

5 7 Netball  I have a good level of influence on each game, using a have a wider range of advanced and original techniques consistently.  I am able to select and modify techniques throughout the game under pressure.  I can umpire confidently, a game using the basic rules and am beginning to make more complex decisions  I can devise and lead practices to improve performance.  I can coach another player one on one.  Having recognised strengths and weaknesses I can now plan for ways to improve.  I can lead small groups in warm ups and cool down taking into account the 3 stages to be included. 7c = 2 of the criteria met – from 2 colours! 7b = 4 of the criteria met – from 3 colours! 7a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 8!
