Training session Week 1 Session 1 Introduction/warm up Movement pattern– forward/backward Shadow drill – refine movement Split, turn, chasse, plant, transfer weight Overhead clear rally 2 mins Overhead clear practise – in 3’s Observer, feeder, hitter 10 each and change repeat once more Fun activity Overhead clear practice as before Game to finish Cool down Week 4 Warm up Quick recap of movement fwds/bkwds – Shadow – o/h clear net and lob Main theme – net shot Practise 1 net shot Practise 2 net shot Recap of overhead clear – pressure practise Combination practise including movement front and back Conditioned game Competitive game Cool down Week 8 Warm up Quick game – groups of 3 1 st to 7 points Winner stays on Overhead clear – pressure practices Net shot practises Conditioned rally including high serve, oh clear/drop shot, net shot, lift and continue Competitive games Fun activity Cool down
