What is NDSEG? A highly competitive, portable fellowship awarded to U.S. citizens and nationals who intend to pursue a doctoral degree in a STEM discipline. The program is administered by the NDSEG Program Team at the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).

Why NDSEG? The Department of Defense (DoD) is committed to increasing the number and quality of our nation's scientists and engineers. Three DoD agencies sponsor NDSEG Fellows including: (1) Air Force, (2) Army, (3) and Navy.

Benefits of the Program Full tuition and mandatory fee coverage at any accredited U.S. institution $1,000 Medical Health Insurance Allowance Generous stipend of $102,000 over 36 months

Eligibility 1. Citizenship Must be a U.S. Citizen or National 2. Discipline Research must fit under one of the supported disciplines 3. Academic Status Must be near or in the beginning stages of overall graduate study 4. Ability to Accept Must intend to pursue a doctoral degree & start tenure in Fall of the year awarded
