1. Supply Chain Management(SCM) Definition: Supply chain management encompasses the planning and management of all activities involved in sourcing and procurement, conversion, and all logistics management activities.

It also includes coordination and collaboration with channel partners, which can be, intermediaries, third- party service providers, and customers. In essence, supply chain management integrates supply and demand management within and across companies. Supply chain management it is an integrating function with proper responsibility for linking major business functions and business processes within and across companies into a cohesive in a high performing business model.

Firm’s internal functions If a firm wants to achieve the highest level of integration it is SCM, the firm needs to integrate all of its activities, processes, functions within a company, we call it internal integration.
