1. Vincent van Gogh 1853-1890 One of the most famous painters in history.

2. The story begins….. His younger brother, Theo encouraged him to paint at a young age. He worked for several years in Paris, London and Brussels before becoming famous. He only sold one painting during his lifetime. He suffered from mental illness, resulting in him cutting off his ear and later ending his own life.

4. Vincent van Gogh One of his signature types of paintings were still life pictures. We are going to give it a try. By looking at a scene, we are going to try to duplicate it. We may even have some of the next Vincent van Goghs in this class!
