4.   She entered politics to work for democratisation.  Aung San Suu Kyi most famous speeches was “Freedom from fear”  The speech began : "It is not power that corrupts, but fear. Fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it and fear of the scourge of power corrupts those who are subject to it." Political Beginnings

5.   She won 59% of votes in general election.  Aung San Suu Kyi was placed under house arrest.  During the arrest time she won the Noble Peace Prize and Sakharov Prize for Freedom  Used Nobel Peace Prize’s 1.3 million USD prize money to help schools and hospitals in Burmese Political career
