3 Update on Life Change Programme: HMP Liverpool / HMP Kennet Course Representatives Allocated a designated officer

4 About the Organisation Updates Developed and Implemented a new data base We have gained approved provider status for Mentoring and Befriending We are to begin delivering domestic Abuse sessions in HMP Kennet A new mentoring training course to begin in March We have Tendered for The Head Start Project Proposal been put forward to Stronger families Co-Ordinators

5 Updates Approached Cheshire PCC Fund for mentoring Presentation to NPS to gain more referrals Applied for funding: Weston Charity Award Volunteers trained in Benefit and Welfare Reform Volunteers trained in applying for accommodation

6 Life change programme Process offenders nominated to attend course in HMP Liverpool MALS contact Stephanie Richmond/ Judith Morris to cross check who the offender manager is – is it CRC/ NPS ? MALS workers to make contact with OM to discuss the outcome of the course and what the offender has asked to do on release so this can be incorporated in to their plan. MALS to maintain regular contact (weekly email/ telephone) with OM and advise level of contact and what interventions they are helping the offender with. Monthly update provided at the IOM JAG meeting/ quarterly performance given at the Reducing Reoffending Strategy Board Meeting

7 Mentoring Programme Process Offender Manger identifies an individual who would like mentoring support. OM completes MALS referrals form and sends over to Michelle Clements. Offender is taken on to the mentoring project MALS make contact with offender using the information that has been provided by the OM. MALS to maintain regular contact (weekly email/ telephone) with OM and advise level of contact and what interventions they are helping the offender with

8 Issue/problem identified by staff/ mentors/ offenders e.g. staff conduct / performance / advice given Clare Donohue (M.A.L.S)/ Judith Morris or Stephanie Richmond (NPS)/ Peter Hughes (CRC) made aware of the problem by staff/ mentors MALS/ NPS/ CRC team leaders arrange to meet either face to face/ virtually/ telephone to raise the issue as quick as possible. Issue/ problem dealt with i.e. staff made aware of problem and training put into place etc. Response/ Action Taken fed back to staff/ offender/ volunteers. Probation - Escalation Process
