8 What does government stability in Africa have to do with the problem? Africa is predominantly a political mess! There have been numerous civil wars, overthrows of governments in place, tribal and cultural upheavals, and resource battles among African nations. Most of these events have taken place in countries South of the Sahara Stability is fleeting and has been since most of these countries gained independence less than 50 years ago. With the problems of desertification, AIDS, famine, lack of clean water, and population explosion how do you think this question should be answered? http://books.google.com/books?hl=en&lr=&id=lLcjoL1ovw4C&oi=fnd &pg=PR8&dq=government+stability+in+Africa&ots=db1bMTOmX0& sig=G-WqMKoRRl0DJh9U0JL3pPZYlgk#PPP1,M1http://books.google.com/books?hl=en&lr=&id=lLcjoL1ovw4C&oi=fnd &pg=PR8&dq=government+stability+in+Africa&ots=db1bMTOmX0& sig=G-WqMKoRRl0DJh9U0JL3pPZYlgk#PPP1,M1
