Campus Housing On campus houses (dorms) UC Riverside offers dorm rooms to a higher percentage of its students than do most colleges The area around UC Riverside is actually quite walk able. Starbucks and a range of restaurants are close by to school. Riverside has several different forms of public transport, with bus services and three express commuter services. There are also community based trolley routes around the city.

Campus Life & Recreation The campus is very diverse. Whatever your interests, you'll find a club or organization with other students at UC Riverside. With nearly 200 clubs and organizations, including fraternities and sororities, there are always lots of opportunities to get involved. Athletics Team name: Highlanders There are men's and women's teams for cross country, soccer, basketball, softball, baseball, track and field, tennis, and golf.

Arts UCR's Art Department offers a broad spectrum of classes from painting, drawing, photography, and sculpture, and inter-media, video and digital art, as well as art theory.

Level Of Difficulty To Get Accepted The level of difficulty overall to get accepted at UC Riverside is 87%.The students that have been accepted and enrolled at UCR are 16% of the people that got accepted into the school It will be easier to get into the UCR program of Engineering then to get into the Arts program because there are not as much people applying in that program at UCR. If you want to get a degree in Science, the chances of getting into the Science program at UCR is low since many people apply here.

Degrees Offered The categories with the most degrees offered are Liberal Arts, Business And Management, and Science. Liberal arts is about culture, sociology, creative writing and many more. Business and Management is about business and administration. Science is for example biology, chemistry, physics, biochemistry and more.

Program Known For UC Riverside pioneered research in biological pest control and the use of growth regulators responsible for extending the citrus growing season in California from four to nine months. Some of the world's most important research collections on citrus diversity and entomology, as well as science fiction and photography, are located at Riverside.
