I value Christmas hamper as I am lonely
Coping with widowhood is made easier with the back-up of the Benevolent Fund, both practically and emotionally. I value Christmas hamper as I am lonely We welcomed the support towards unexpected bills/events and funds towards holidays that helped to create memories later in life Vital - Can't manage without - thank you so much! Hope to repay you... It was good to know that no matter what my financial circumstances were there was always money for my children's activities. I can never thank the IMechE enough for the help and support I have received I am able to have (and afford) short respite breaks whilst my Carers live in to look after my husband. Valued visit very much in the beginning, still welcome.

Support has been critical. I do not feel on my own
I have been able to save money for emergencies so I have never needed help to repair domestic appliances such as washing machine etc but have peace of mind knowing that if I fell into difficulties Support Network would be there. I appreciate the financial support. It's taken some of the worry off me A feeling that at Support Network of the IMechE there are "friends" who are just a phone call away if specialist help/advice is needed. I don't panic when bills drop through the letter box! Just knowing that you would be there for me if I needed you, is so comforting - thank you Support has been critical. I do not feel on my own We value the follow up apart from the support. Really look forward to this (the visit) At our lowest ebb the IMechE saved us and gave great help

“...I received my Trustees' Decision letter yesterday - I'm still in shock & completely overwhelmed by their enormous generosity. I really am lost for words; nobody has ever helped me before, so this really is overwhelming. I was stunned when I first read the letter, then just burst into tears, which was odd, but they were happy tears! I keep reading it over & over, I really cannot take it all in...”
