All rights reserved. 15-5 Absence Policy: The use of a cell phone during class will result in an absence for that class date in your record. Exceptions may be made in an emergency situation if discussed prior to class. If you are not actively participating during group discussion work, you will also be counted as absent. Incomplete Policy: Students must REQUEST an incomplete prior to the last week of class. An incomplete request form (available from Dr. Krach) must be completed. This form will include: 1) Contact information for the student; 2) Specific dates for completion of the remaining work; 3) Student’s and professor’s signature of agreement. Syllabus Review

All rights reserved. 15-6 Professionalism: In all interactions with the professor as well as any other personnel, professionalism will be maintained at all times. Professionalism refers to 1) Manner of dress; 2) Handling conflict (e.g., behind closed doors, in person, and with respect); 3) Preparation (e.g., read prior to class, have materials needed for the class day); 4) Confidentiality (e.g., within the class, within the schools, etc.); 5) Self-awareness (e.g., know what you don’t know, know when to get supervision, know when to ask for consultation, etc.). Ethics: All students studying in the field of psychology and counseling are responsible for knowing and behaving under the American Psychological Association’s Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct. All rights reserved. 15-8 Written Psychoeducational Reports: This assignment involves writing in report form, the results of various test instruments. All students will administer and write a psychological evaluation report that will include an Adult Interview and a Mental Status Exam, a personality test, and an achievement test. All reports must be typed. Specific report requirements and grading rubrics will be provided by your instructor. Test Evaluation: This assignment involves writing an evaluation of a published assessment instrument. The assessment instrument will be selected by the instructor.
