When did it happen? On the 23th of August 2005 the Hurricane started to form southeast the Bahamas On the 25th of August the Hurricane reached Florida On the 28th of August Katrina reached its top Windspeed with 280 km/h. On the 29th of August Katrina reached Louisiana

Why did it happen? Southeast the Bahamas was formed the twelevth Storm of the season and got bigger under certain conditions. The tropical storm continued to move towards Florida and became a hurricane
