School Hours Monday & Tuesday (7.45a.m. to 1.45p.m.)
Wednesday - Friday (7.45 a.m. to 1.15p.m.) All students are expected to be in the school canteen by 7.30 a.m. for silent reading. Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur – English Storybooks Fri – Mother Tongue Storybooks Recess: a.m. to a.m. Submit an MC or Parent’s letter when absent (with strict compliance) 8

SECURITY IN SCHOOL Upon entering the school,
- exchange NRIC or other identification card for a visitor’s pass from the guard room parents are not allowed to enter the teaching block during school hours. - approach the staff in General Office for help. Arrangements will be made to fetch the pupil from the classroom

SECURITY IN SCHOOL No parents, relatives or any members of the public will be allowed to remain in school during school hours purchase food from the canteen make use of the school facilities To bring your child home earlier, remember to sign out in Early Dismissal Book

IMPORTANT DETAILS Refer to packing list for first 2 days of school
Label your child’s files, books and belongings with permanent marker or pen School bookshop (Popular Bookstore) is opened from 9.00 a.m. to 4 p.m. during weekdays Go through "Dolch Sight Words“ Let your child practice copying simple sentences every day.

CLASS WORK & HOMEWORK Child may be asked to complete his/her unfinished work at home Homework assigned to him/her to be checked by parents and completed by students Outreach lessons may be conducted for selected students; to be informed by teacher

Homework Policy Long Homework: 1 hr per subject (Short Days and Weekends) Short Homework: 30 min per subject (Long Days)

First 2 days of school 4 Jan, 5 Jan
1) Class timetable will be distributed on 4 Jan, Monday or 5 Jan, Tuesday. 2) Pupils to follow the timetable from Wednesday onwards. Pack the bag according to the class timetable. 3) Parents are not allowed to go near the classroom during the first 2 days. 16

4) During recess, students will have a P3/P5 Buddy to help them buy food and orientate themselves in the canteen during recess for the first two days of school (4 Jan and 5 Jan) 5) Twenty minutes before dismissal, all P1 students will assemble at the hall. - Students taking the school bus will be grouped according to their bus routes at the back of the hall. - Brother/sister of the pupil will be dismissed 10 minutes earlier to meet the P1 students in the hall. - Teachers will lead the rest of the pupils to the respective designated exits. 17

6) During dismissal, students taking school bus will be accompanied by the school bus attendants to board the bus at the school carpark area. 7) Parents whose children are not taking the school bus could fetch them at brown side gate (near Blk 323) or at the orange front gate (near the traffic light). 18

8) No parents are allowed to park their cars in the school compound. Please park at the public carparks near the school. Do not stop your car along the road and wait for your child. 9) From 6 Jan onwards, parents should not remain anywhere within the school premises during school hours. 19

Sending and Fetching 1) Parents who are driving are to drop off/pick up their children at the carpark near Blk 323, 337. If it rains in the morning, cars will be allowed to enter the school for pupils to alight at the foyer. 2) Should it rain during dismissal time, parents are allowed to drive into the school compound 15 minutes after dismissal (to avoid peak period when buses are driving off). 20

Sending and Fetching 3) For parents picking up their children at the gates, kindly proceed to the general office for assistance if you cannot locate your child at the pick-up location after 10 – 15 minutes Inform your child to seek help from the general office if they can’t find you. 4) Remind your child to wait inside the school for you. 22
