2. Plant Cells are Unique!!!  Plant cells have chloroplasts used during photosynthesis.  Plants have a cell wall composed of cellulose located outside the cell membrane.

3. Water Transport  The major source of water transport in plants is provided by the evaporation of water from leaves during transpiration.  When water is lost from the leaves, more water is pulled upward from the roots.

4. Structure of Flowers  Flowers are reproductive organs of plants Male Part:Stamen  Anther – produces pollen (sperm)  Filament - long, thin stalk that supports the anther Female Part: Pistils  Ovary – broad base that contains one or more ovules  Style – narrow stalk of the pistil  Stigma – sticky portion at the top of the style where pollen grains typically land
