1 Creating an Audio File Using “Sound Recorder” Daniel Simms

2 Process 1) Open your internet browser and go to http://soundconverter.org/. (See picture below) http://soundconverter.org/ 2) Click “SoundConverter 1.5.4 (Source)” and download/install the application. (See picture to left)

3 3) Once you have installed the application, open it up and you should get something like this (See picture to the right): 4) To record audio, click the “Record” button (See picture to the right).

4 5) Once you flick “Record” you’ll have the option to pick a location to save your audio file (See picture to the right). 6) Choose a name to save the file as (e.g., Habitats!) and the file location (e.g, desktop), and click “Save” (See picture to the right).

5 7) Next a little screen will pop up that will look like this (See picture to right). You are now recording! 8) Once you have finished saying what you want to record, you click the “Stop” button (See picture to the right).

6 9) Once you have clicked the “Stop” button, another little window will appear giving you the opportunity to “Open”, “Export”, or preview your audio recording (See picture to the right). 10) From here you click “Export” (See pictures to the right) and pick a name and destination for your final audio file, then click “Save”.

7 11) Find your file wherever you saved it in step 10. Double click to open and listen to what you have recorded!
