1 Extra Credit Thursday, May 7 th 5-10 pm Cost = $19.50 –You can purchase for yourself and friends. –Don’t have to be in Physics to go. Not school/Physics Teacher sponsored! –Your on your own for food and transportation! “Physics Night”

2 How do you pay? Only Checks will be accepted. Put your name on the memo line. Make them payable to Mr. Brayton. Due no later than April 20, 2009. Cash will NOT be accepted.

3 Model Rocket Project Launch Date May 5 th and 6 th (if necessary) or ???? Each person will build their own rocket. Engines are sold in packets of three, buy one package with a friend. Rockets are sold at: –Michael’s –Hobby Lobby –Hobby Town USA (near SW Plaza)

4 Model Rocket Project Buy a rocket that looks like a rocket. NO rockets over 25 inches. NO Payloads NO multiple stage rockets.

9 ADVANCED PLACEMENT CHEMISTRY 5 Hour Class Juniors or Seniors Must have recommendation Above average achievement in Chemistry 1 and 2 Equivalent of a first year college course Students will take the AP Exam in May

10 ADVANCED PLACEMENT PHYSICS (B) AP Physics (B) is a two-semester course providing a basic introduction to the main physics principles and problem solving. Trigonometry is a prerequisite for this course. This course is designed for pre- med or non-science majors. College credit can be obtained depending on the student’s score on the standardized test. This is a college-level course with very high expectations.

11 ADVANCED PLACEMENT PHYSICS (C) AP Physics (C) is a two-semester course providing a basic introduction to mechanics, electricity, magnetism. Calculus is a prerequisite for this course. This course is designed for engineering or physics majors. College credit can be obtained depending on the student’s score on the standardized test. This is a college-level course with very high expectations.
