It is a proposed express railway connecting Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Shenzhen of Guangdong Province and Hong Kong SAR.

and would run from Sheung Wan to Kennedy Town.

- Costly (eg. Lok Ma Chau Railway is a good example) increase government financial burden
-Northern line built in new territories may cause less land for farming/ destroy the ecosystem/ biodiversity
