5 Recommendations to the Superintendent EXAMPLE: DUE PROCESS/DISPUTE RESOLUTION Increase utilization of early dispute resolution, such as facilitated IEPs and mediation, through enhanced awareness activities aimed at parents and schools. Ensure the adequacy of available hearing officers and legal counsel to meet the demand in order to improve the timeliness and effectiveness of hearings. Encourage more IEP recommended placements to acknowledged private school programs when public schools are unable to provide an appropriate program for a student with unique needs...
