2 Look who it is!

3 It’s lunch time in the school playground.

4 The mice are playing…

5 The cat is playing….

6 Hang on….who is this? It’s Dog! Grrr... you can’t play football, you smelly rat

7 Dog has upset Mouse with his words Ha ha ha... Loser! Rat Face!

8 What could Mouse do? Tell Dog to stop Ignore him and walk away Act as though he doesn’t care what they say or do Tell someone

9 Cat was playing and heard what Dog said to Mouse Stop and think, words can hurt!

10 10 Dog hadn’t thought about how Mouse was feeling

11 Cat checked that Mouse is ok Hey Mouse …are you ok? Not really. I’m feeling quite sad. Shall we tell a Teacher?

12 Teacher talks to Dog about hurtful words She told Dog that what he was saying was unkind and making Mouse feel sad.

13 She talked to Dog about how to play nicely.

14 She asked Dog if he would like to say sorry to Mouse

15 The teacher and Cat helped Mouse feel better…..

16 They told him to remember that it is not his fault. It’s not my fault!

17 They talked about good words and what dog could have said

18 Dog said sorry OK Dog. Shall we play football together? I’m sorry I didn’t think about what I was saying

19 19 Dog promises to stop and think before saying unkind words

20 “Always remember CAT”! Check Ask Tell

21 Check you are saying kind words Ask others to stop and think about the words they are using Tell an adult if you have heard people using unkind words

22 Think about what you are saying Dog and mouse say kind things to each other Thanks Dog! You’re really good at football
