20. Frequently Asked Questions What happens if the pool cable is disconnected from the cleaner? Highly unlikely due to its construction, but this would cause the ground fault interrupt circuit to stop the flow of electricity. And power transferred into the pool would come out as 24V DC which is harmless. Should the transformer be too close to the pool by using an extension cord, then fall in, the same thing would happen.
