- Child labor : harsh conditions, work 8 hours a day, use dangerous equipment - Child trafficking: they are stolen from their parents or forced by parents to work there because the parents themselves also don’t have any money and are not paid enough to sustain their families - Children cannot go to school - Fair trade because: Farmers will get a fair price for their cocoa, profits will go back into the community. Example: water pump and corn mill.

Refutation: People don’t buy fair trade, because it’s too expensive. If they don’t buy the chocolate then the farmers won’t get income etc.
