Industrial Revolution What: greatly increased output of machine-made goods that began in England during the 18 th century Importance: the change that begins in Britain paves the way for modern industrial societies

Agricultural Revolution By early 1700s, wealthy landowners started buying up much of the land They will start dramatically improving farming methods This will pave the way for the Industrial Revolution

Enclosure Movement Wealthy landowners started to close off their lands with fences or hedges Results: Experimented with new agricultural methods Forced small farmers to give up farming and move to the cities

Increase in FOOD Production Crop Rotation: rotate the crop you harvested to make the soil fertile Livestock Breeding: breed the healthiest animals to produce bigger animals….which equals more FOOD
