Lesson Obj: IWBAT decompose a 2- d shape to find its perimeter and area. What is the difference between a parallelogram, a trapezoid, a rhombus, and a kite?

A parallelogram looks like someone tried to push over a rectangle. Finding the perimeter is exactly the same. P = 2l + 2w The height is no longer the side of the shape. Area is still base x height.
